Shoujo Trilogy is a collection of stories about fantasy, love and disilusion. Each album tells the tale of an unnamed protagonist, coming across love in the wildest shape and that love being destroyed or destroying the protagonist in the end.
The first story is about a shut-in whose computer turns into a perfect girl thanks to a mysterious computer executable. Sadly the program is just a trial so they only have 2 hours to experience love for the first time.
The second story is the theatrical representation of a man's descent to damnation as the ghost of his past lover haunts him until he figures out why the ghost keeps roaming the living plane.
The last story is the tale of a man coming in contact with a vampire in a bar and immediately falling for his charms. Our protagonist seems to have found love at first sight, but... ¿Is this sudden love, or the effect of vampiric charm?

These stories are presented in the aesthetical format of japanese self-published visual novels (doujinshi), a very common media for romance stories like this to be published. Although the manga/anime aesthetic is well known on the vaporwave scene, it tends to be the cheery colorful and extrovert side of it. Meanwhile these albums present themselves are black and white intimate pieces, personal experiences for the listener/reader, to be consumed in the privacy of their own home and reflected upon. To delight upon imagining oneself in the place of the main character.

As a child i grew up buying magazines about the latest news on cartoons, being extremely drawn to the sections dedicated to manga. They felt so different and immediately reserved a special place in my heart. That place would be fortified when those magazines included an edition of "how to draw manga" books I still have them on my self as precious items. These are the main connection i have with this project.
From around that time i also save the memories of being a dumb teen that fell in love with every girl at school, and spent the days hoaning my drawing skills and the nights fantasizing about cute meet scenarios. These (albeit a bit cringey) recollections are the other main inspiration for this project.

To close this i would like to thank Halcyon Tapes for feeling these narratives and deciding to share them in physical format. To Claudia Sheffner for pushing the first domino that caused the entirety of this project to kickstart. To all those magazine redactors that made me intriged by foreign cartoons. And to all those school girls that made young me look like an idiot and dream too hard. I would also like to dedicate this to every single person that look at the nightsky, telling themselves that tomorrow will be your day and that continue going on even when they feel like they are not advancing. I'm here with you.
